Martha Delaney, 82, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Melbourne and Tavernier Florida died
on January 15th 2018, at Cape Coral hospital.
Martha was born March 14th, 1935 in Hoboken, New Jersey and later moved to Hazlet, New
Jersey with her husband were they raised their five children. Martha and her husband then
relocated to south Florida where she worked in food services at Coral Shores High School and
later Melbourne High School, retiring in 2008. She touched the lives of many people throughout
her journey and was loved by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Ludlow and Mary Rooney, as well as her
loving husband of 60 years, Robert. E. Delaney. Martha is survived by her sister Catherine
Sarao of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, her 5 children Robert, Kathleen (Donald), Shawn (Nichole),
Gail (Kenny) and Francis (Tara) as well as her 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, January 27th, 2018 between the hours of 10 am - 12:30 pm at
Fuller Metz Funeral Services, Cape Coral.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, to which Martha
was a devout contributor.
