Casually knew Drew thru the Houston music scene. And I feel we lost an all-time great. His suggestion helped craft a song I released making him an arranger of the composition.

Words cannot express the pain I feel for the loss of this beautifully complicated soul. The only peace that I can gather from this tragedy is that he is no longer suffering, no longer in pain, that he is finally at peace and home with God. He was God's favorite after all! (His words, not mine) He was an incredibly talented artist and he had unwavering love for his family and close friends. Drew had a huge heart, a loud boisterous laugh, and one crazy sense of humor...those are just a few of the things that I will never forget about him. I simply cannot believe he’s gone. He had so much more to offer the world through his writing and his music that I find it difficult to understand why he had to leave us all so soon. It's not fair. I just hope he knows how much he was truly loved by all those he connected with throughout his time here, and that his presence will be sorely missed. I have so many wonderful memories with him and I will cherish them until we meet again. Ginny and Bill, you have my deepest sympathies..there is simply nothing I can say that will take away the pain of your loss. Please know that my heart breaks for you, and with you as we say goodbye to the beautiful spirit that was Andrew “Drewski” Pettinati. 💔

Drew was such a unique person, with a heart that shared joy every time I talked with him. We lost touch these past years, but his memory didn't fade, and his music periodically scrolled through my iTunes! And you couldn't help watch crazy Rockets fans without thinking of him!
