William E Statler

William (Bill) Edward Statler, 69, left us July 28th 2019. Bill lived in Cape Coral, FL for the last several years after moving from the Chicagoland area (Plainfield, IL & Oak Lawn, IL). His unique sense of humor and steady and dependable hand will be painfully missed. Born from Helen and Linus Statler on December 9, 1949, Bill is survived by his wife Jean Statler, step-son Peter Silzer, step-son Jason Silzer (deceased), brother Jim Statler, sister-in-law Diane Statler, nephew James Statler, grandchildren Alyssa, Clark and Parker, and countless friends and extended family. 
Bill graduated from Oak Lawn Community High School in 1969 and had careers at Old Style, Continental Can, and Rush St. Luke’s Hospital. Bill was a founding member of the Oak Lawn Raiders Social Athletic Club founded in 1974, which strives to support and help the community and Bill has left lasting memories for its members and member’s families.
Bill is deeply missed and he is surely giving everyone a big smile and a big thumbs up to everyone down here.
