Tribute

On Monday November 18, 2019, we lost our beloved wife and mother, Tami Perkins Arteaga at the age of 56.

Tami was born on May 21, 1963 in Ottawa IL to Mary Kuntzi. She was a loving daughter, sister, dedicated wife and mother. She was a sales consultant and diamond expert for over 25 years. On October 17th 1983, she married her high school sweetheart, Daniel Arteaga. They raised one daughter together, Tasha Arteaga.

Tami was an avid beach goer and loved basking in the Florida sun. One of her favorite hobbies was shopping, as she loved beauty and fashion. She had wide reaching interest such as riding in sports cars to floral arrangement. She was a speed reader and enjoyed a good book. She was known for her outgoing and free spirited nature. She was always direct and frank in communication and had a large heart for for the underprivileged.

Tami was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Kuntzi. She is survived by her husband Dan, her child Tasha, her sister Desa, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and her beloved cat, Monkey.

Tami wishes to spend eternity among the beach, so her ashes will be spread on Sanibel Island at a later date.

Any donations, flowers or card may be sent to 2310 SE 5th Court, Cape Coral FL 33990.

Special thank you to the nurses and doctors at Health Park hospital who took care of Tami during her final days. An additional thank you to her friends and family who supported her though those difficult times.

I Am Always With You

When I am gone, release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears,
But be thankful we had so many good years.
I gave you my love, and you can only guess
How much you've given me happiness.
I thank you for the love that you have shown,
But now it is time I traveled on alone.
So grieve for me for a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
That it is only a while that we must part,
So treasure the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away for life goes on.
And if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen to your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you soft and clear
And then, when you come this way alone,
I'll great you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".
