Roger G. Butler

Roger G. Butler, age 85, of Cape Coral passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
He was born in Medina N.Y. in 1935 to the late George and Florence Butler.
Roger graduated from Royalton Hartland High School.
He served honorably with the U.S. Marines.
Roger was former detective with the Cape Coral Police Department. He retired in 1987 after years of service. He served as Mayor of Cape Coral from 1993 to 2000.
He was a long time coach with the Cape Coral Pop Warner league.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Rusch and Robin Kane, along with his son in law Michael Rusch all of Sarasota, FL.
Roger is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will take place 10:00 AM Saturday March 6, 2021 at Cape Christian Church  2110 Chiquita Blvd. S. Cape Coral, Fl 33991.  Memorial Contributions may be made to The Cape Coral Mayors Scholarship Fund.
