Michael Christ Haman

Michael Christ Haman was born in Saginaw, Michigan July 14th 1947 and passed away March 25th, 2024 at the age of 76, in his home away from, Cape Coral, Florida, where he lived with his beloved wife Sandra (Sami) Haman (Bushong). In addition to his loving wife Sami, Mike is survived by his children Michael D. Haman and his wife Stacy of Saginaw, Michigan and Michelle Hammon (Haman and her husband Dan, of Pinchney Michigan. Mike also has two grandsons, Maximus and Charles Hammon, as well as two granddaughters Kirsten Haman and Zoey Rauser. Mike was also survived by his three sisters Roseann (Pat) Thompson, Joy (Ron) Laster and Debbie Hartung. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Louise M. Haman and his brother Frank (Sonny) Haman. Mike was a man of many passions, which occupied his time. He loved boating and was often found on th ewater near his summer home in Au Gres Michigan. A licensed pilot and avid collector of classic cars, Mike was continually on the hunt for the next great find. Mike would spend hours in the garage cleaning and staring at his cars with his constant companion, his cherished dog Jake. He was a hardworking self-made, successful entrepreneur from humble beginnings who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Mike was the life of the party and his sense of humor will be remembered and missed by his family and countless friends who were constantly coming to visit him. Mike was diagnosed with lung disease in 2016 and went on to become the oldest lung transplant recipient in the history of The Cleveland Clinics Lung Transplant program, receiving the Gift of Life in September 2022 at the age of 75. His recovery amazed everyone, including his doctors and family. Mike was blessed to live more in one lifetime than most do in several and hsi family and friends will miss him dearly. A celebration of his life is being planned for this summer at his home in Michigan.
