Marie L. Salpietro

Marie L. Salpietro passed away at her home in Cape Coral, Florida on September 6, 2018, just one day shy of her 85th birthday.Marie was born in New York, New York on September 7, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Annie Fornabia. She married her childhood sweetheart, Vincent Salpietro on May 23, 1953 and they enjoyed 55 beautiful years of marriage until he preceded her in death on March 30, 2008.
Marie had been a resident of Cape Coral for 41 years, having moved from Paramus, New Jersey. She had acted in several commercials and was always proud and fond of her experience in advertising. Marie loved church, shopping and spending time with friends and family. She attended St. Andrew Catholic Church and worked at St. Andrews Daycare as well as Loving Friends Daycare for 30 years.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Vincent Salpietro and his spouse Carla Roberts; grandchildren, Toni and Kristina, Kazden; great-grandchildren, Ariana and Ryder; and friends, Janet Baxter, Frank and Ann Gordon, Retreat Sisters, Pat and Jerry Montagnino.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was also preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Fornabia on August 31, 2004.
Visitation hours will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at the Fuller Metz Funeral Chapel on Del Prado Blvd. South in Cape Coral. The funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11AM at St. Andrew Catholic church in Cape Coral. Memorial contributions may be sent to either the SWFL Military Museum at 4820 Leonard St, Cape Coral, FL 33904 or to Loving Friends Daycare.
Marie will always be remembered for her love of Family, Friends, and Faith.
