Tribute

Leo R. Miller, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2019 at his home in Cape Coral, FL surrounded by his beloved family.  Leo had a heart for service to his country.  He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service.  After retirement from his military career, Leo continued to serve his community with the New Jersey Department of Corrections for another 20 years.   He had a passion for flying and was a fixed wing flight instructor after leaving the Air Force.  He enjoyed taking his family on flights over their neighborhood, the ocean, and other beautiful scenery.  He loved the holidays with family, and especially enjoyed Christmas.

Leo was a caring and devoted grandfather and loved spending time with all of his grandchildren.  He was artistic and left his family with many beautiful drawings and sketches.  His artistry was a talent which he inherited from his mother, Lynta R. Miller, who was also an artist who left beautiful paintings which are cherished by the family.

Leo will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia A. (Diller) Miller, children; Sandra L. Murch (husband Terence Murch), Kurt C. Miller, Elaine R. Macy (husband John Macy), and Christine A. Erazo (husband Michael Erazo); as well as grandchildren, Abree Murch, Cole Murch, Christopher Miller (wife Stormi), Ian Macy, Isabella Erazo; and great-grandchildren; Tristen Miller, Landinn Miller, Leon Miller, and Elie Miller.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, May 17th at 10:30am at St. Katharine Drexel Parish - 1922 SW 20th Ave, Cape Coral, FL  33991.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Hope Hospice at 9470 HealthPark Circle Fort Myers, FL 33908 or visit www.hopehcs.org
