Joseph A Hansen

Joseph Alfred Hansen, 86 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on November 16, 2022.  He was born on October 5, 1936 to Alfred and Bernice Hansen. 

He attended Asbury Park High School in Asbury Park, N.J.  He worked in the family business, Davison Rugs in Ocean Grove, N.J from the age of 14 for 45 years.  He retired in 1995 and moved to Florida.

Joe was a founding member and past president of Corvettes on the Gulf Car Club.  He enjoyed going to car shows and won many trophies.  He loved gardening and would work in the yard for hours planting and weeding the flower beds.  He also was an avid coin collector.  He spent many happy hours with his beloved dog, Maggie.

He was predeceased by his son, Michael and granddaughter, Angela.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy; one brother Herb Hansen, Summerfield, FL; two sons David, Deland FL, Steve and Lyn Hansen, Sanford, FL and two daughters Cindy Hansen, Cape Coral, FL; Susan and Scott Piper, Cape Coral, FL, two grandchildren and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers a donation to Wounded Warriors Project or Tunnel To Towers Foundation would be appreciated.
