James “Pee Wee” J. Halpin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 26, 2019 in Cape Coral Florida at the age of 70. Loving husband of Terry (nee Baker), proud father of James “Jimmy” (Sherry), Melissa (William ”Billy”) Johnston, proud stepfather of Stacey (Anthony “Tony”) Cotter, Meghan (Dave “Shorty” Susnar) Noonan. Adoring Grandfather of Christine Coday, Justin Johnston, Ashley Halpin, Erika Halpin, Kacie Johnston, Kiley Johnston, Holly Halpin, Dylan Johnston, Kyle Halley, Johnathon Noonan, Peyton Caves, Michael Cotter, Madison, Smith, and Bobbie Smith, Loving great grandfather of Christopher Garza “CJ”, Kora Halley, and Ella Halley. Loving brother of the late John “Jack” Halpin.
Pee Wee was born on April 20, 1949 to Mary (nee Neary) and James “Gandy” Halpin in Chicago Illinois. He was raised in the Canaryville neighborhood where he was a proud member of the Brotherhood. Pee Wee worked as a mechanic for Stokes Auto and also raced the infamous number 10 for Stokes at Raceway Park.
Later in life, Pee Wee became a carman for Amtrak where he worked until he retired in 2012. Upon retirement, Pee Wee and the love of his life (Terry), relocated to their own little piece of paradise in Cape Coral Florida where they happily lived out their golden years together with Pee Wee’s best buddy, their little mini- doxi Jacks!
Visitation will be on Sunday September 1, 2019 2:00-5:00 pm at Fuller Metz Funeral Home 3740 Del Prado Blvd S Cape Coral . Immediately following the services we will be having a dinner at Woody’s located at 2408 Surfside Blvd, Cape Coral.
