James John Edmier
February 16, 1937 ~ December 3, 2019 (age 82) 82 Years Old
James “Jim” J. Edmier, 82, of North Ft. Myers, FL and formally of Western Springs, IL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 after a long fought battle with cancer. Jim was born in Oak Park, IL to Lawrence and Eleanor (LeMasters) Edmier and attended Oak Park-River Forest High School and then graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Civil Engineering. Jim worked his entire career owning part of a family trucking business in the Chicago area. In retirement, he enjoyed model railroading, volunteer work, and traveling with his family and friends. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Carol (Bandelin); sons Robert (Christine) and Kenneth; sister Marilyn (Thomas) Huseby; Brother Jack (Floyd); many nieces and nephews. Jim was proceeded in death by his parents and infant daughter. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Fuller-Metz Funeral Home, 3740 Del Prado Blvd. S. in Cape Coral 33904. Visitation is from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M and Memorial Service starts at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cape Coral Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 101346.
