James D. Bondy

James Dennis Bondy (Jim), of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2018 in Naples, Florida at the age of 84.
He was born on October 13, 1933 in Deerfield, MI, the oldest child of Paul Bondy and Vera Lily Bragg. He grew up with five younger sisters, Ann, Wilma, Elaine, Linette, and Paula.
Jim had lived in Cape Coral, FL for 30 years after retiring from Yearbook Medical Publishers in Chicago, IL. He came to Cape Coral to enjoy life which for him, meant buying a small business, The Letter Box. He loved being a small business owner here and enjoyed being a Paul Harris Fellow, as well as his activities with the Rotary Club. He sold the business to his colleague and friend, Amy Rouskey. He loved golfing, watching golf and football and rooting for the University of Michigan football team.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter Maureen and her husband, Fred; grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, and JJ; and sisters, Wilma, Linette and Paula.
Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois, and second wife of 48 years, Helen; son, Doug; and sisters, Ann and Elaine.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 4PM to 6PM at the Fuller Metz Funeral Home at 3740 Del Prado Blvd. South Cape Coral, FL.
