Earl Buchanan

Earl Joseph Buchanan, 78, of Cape Coral, FL passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home. He was born on June 9, 1940 in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph and Irene Buchanan. Earl served three years in the United States Marine Corps before developing his career as a service manager in the automotive industry. On August 17, 1961, He married his beloved wife of 57 years, Dixie J. Buchanan.
In addition to his wife Dixie, Earl will be dearly missed by his son, Robert E. Buchanan (Toby Hilbert) of Cairo, GA; grandson, Justin of Savanna, GA; granddaughter, Brittany of Austin, TX; sister, Martha Kelly (Joseph) of Newbern, NC; and brother, David Buchanan (Barbara) of New Port Richey, FL .
Earl was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Ann and sister Kathleen.
Services will be held privately at a later date in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Hope Hospice at 9470 HealthPark Circle Fort Myers, FL 33908 or Friendship Centers of Lee County, 5272 Summerlin Commons Way, Building 6, Suite 603, Fort Myers, FL 33907.
