Tribute

It is with our deepest sympathies to announce that Doris Baribault passed on February 22nd, 2021 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, to start her new journey in heaven.
She will be terribly missed by her husband, Robert Sr. and sons, Robert III and James.
She is also survived by her siblings Kathleen Treglia and brother Richard Goss, in addition to her grandchildren, Joseph Baribault and Sydney Baribault.
Doris was born on August 18th, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York to her parents, Charles Goss and Doris Goss. Charles Goss was a top welder for Grummann Aviation and was subcontracted by NASA to complete the construction for the Project L.E.M. for the moon shot. Doris' mother worked for the New York telephone company as a supervisor for thirty years. Doris is the oldest of four children. At an early age, her family moved to Amityville, Long Island, the home of the" Amityville Horror", where she graduated from Saint Martin Catholic School.
Doris met her husband, Bob Baribault, in 1965. After dating for a year, they were married in Saint Martin's Church in Amityville. They were married for 54 years. Doris' husband, Bob, joined the Nassau County police department, where he was promoted to detective and served for twenty years. After their marriage, they moved to Brightwaters, Long Island, where they raised their children, Robert and James. After her husband, Bob retired, they packed up their belongings and moved to their new home in Cape Coral, Florida in 1988, where they lived till present.
Of the many hat's that Doris wore in the work place, one of her fondest was being a travel agent, here in Cape Coral for eight years. She soon learned that she loved traveling. Doris and her husband were lucky enough to see many parts of the world. After each adventure, Doris would come home to her family and friends and tell of wonderful stories and experiences she had with her husband traveling. After working at the travel agency, Doris worked as a manager for a store named, "A Class Act" in Cape Coral, which provided wallpaper and interior decorating for the general public. After working for eight years at "A Class Act", she decided to retire from the workforce.
After retiring, Bob and Doris spent most of their time socializing at the Cape Coral Elks Club, where Bob was a leading Knight. Doris was an officer of the ladies' auxiliary. They also participated at the Cape Coral Eagles.
