Born August 6, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY she married LeRoy A. Decker on November 29, 1947. They remained married until his passing on March 26, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Sarah Faby, brothers George Jr and Donald Faby, sisters Dorothy DiMatteo and Lorraine Taintor, daughter Linda Susan Hall (James), and granddaughter Kimberly Leonard. She is survived by her brothers Robert (Loretta), Stephen (Janie), and her children LeRoy A. Decker Jr (Shirley), James A. Decker (Linda Lee), Patricia D. McCullough (Clarke), Kenneth G. Decker (Wendy), Richard E. Decker (Nancy). She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Upon moving to Cape Coral in 1968 she became interested in Real Estate and earned her Associate’s License and later her Broker’s License. Being a founding member of the Cape Coral Women’s Council of Realtors she served as Treasurer in 1975 and its President in 1978. She was awarded the Realtor Associate of the Year 1978. Later, she worked for the Edison Blood Bank for many years and was a volunteer for the Cape Coral Hospital Share Club teaching computer classes to senior citizens. After retirement she became a member of the Southwest Florida HOG chapter and enjoyed riding with the group, especially The Annual Bunny Run to raise toys for the childrens cancer ward at the local hospital. She loved to knit gifts and baby blankets for family and friends. Being one for adventure she really loved her cruises and many trips to Disney World as well as the shooting range.
