Joel Christopher Alexander Donaldson passed away on March 18, 2017. He was 45 years old.

Born in New Glasgow NS on Nov 4 1971.  Survived by Parents F A (Sandy) & Lana Donaldson & Katherine Carmel Sedig.  Brother of Tara Donaldson-Cardona & Herm Cardona  & John James (Sugar) Donaldson & Christine Donaldson.

Joel leaves behind two adorable daughters Cailey and Liberty Donaldson and will also be dearly missed by several nieces and nephews including, Ivan Cardona -- Vanessa Cardona Small -- Bree Donaldson Cardona-Salgado -- Cianan Donaldson -- Gannon Donaldson -- Madelyn Donaldson ; 2 great nieces and 3 great nephews as well as numerous cousins.

Joel worked throughout the US in the telecommunications industry.

He was preceded in death by his brother John James (Sugar) on April 17, 2015.

The memorial service will be on April 1st at 11.00 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church 2628 Del Prado Blvd Cape Coral Florida 33904. 

Joel was a "free spirit" who in the words of his daughter had the biggest heart you could find and  who helped both his daughters become the girls they are today.  We will all miss his late night swims with ice cream and his adventurous stories and all the stories of people he would meet.  The smile, the grin, the flash of teeth will always be remembered.  God Bless Joel - he now stands side by side with his brother Jamie.  The boys are watching over all the Donaldsons.
