Barbara L. Klopotek, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 15, 2017 while on vacation visiting family and friends in Wisconsin.
 
Barb was born in Stevens Point, WI on April 8, 1957, daughter of the late Edward and Lila (Ostrander) Nagorski. She graduated from SPASH High School in 1975 and married Terrill Klopotek on October 16, 1976. They relocated to Cape Coral, FL in 1986.
 
Barb worked for Publix Super Markets in the Seafood Department from 1995 to 2006, becoming Head Seafood Specialist in 2002. She enjoyed seeing her many customers, some of whom became close friends. She loved spending time with her family and friends, taking trips to Disney World and the Florida Strawberry Festival and going to the local dinner theatre. She loved playing with her beloved puppies, Jazzy and Jewel; they brought her so much joy. She was also quite the shopper and always looked forward to the annual trip to the “Christmas store”!
 
She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Everyone who knew her said she was a wonderful person, always smiling and making people laugh. She will be dearly missed by all and forever in our hearts.
 
Survivors include her husband, Terry; two daughters, Melissa Klopotek and Ashley Wilson; two puppies, Jazzy and Jewel; one kitty, Tigger, all of Cape Coral, FL; a sister, Kathy Nagorski, Ft. Myers Beach, FL; a brother, Chuck (Cathie) Nagorski, Castle Rock, WA; a nephew, Mark (Cindi) Slowinski, Stevens Point, WI; two nieces, Kim (Rich) Fragapane, Cape Coral, FL and Sherece Koehler, Ohio; two great-nieces, five great-nephews and many cousins and friends.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother and sister, David and Charlene; and an adult brother and sister, Randy and Linda.
 
A memorial mass was held at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, WI on October 16, 2017 for family and friends with Rev. Edward Shuttleworth officiating. The family would like to thank Rev. Shuttleworth and the Pisarski Funeral Home for their support and assistance during this difficult time.
 
Barb’s Florida funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017. Visitation and service will be at Fuller Metz Cremation & Funeral Services, 3740 Del Prado Blvd, Cape Coral, FL 33904. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with the service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Coral Ridge Cemetery, 1630 Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL 33990. There will be a luncheon at Fuller Metz following the burial.
