Barbara Ann Cultice passed away on February 17, 2017 in Fort Myers, FL. She was 80 years of age. Originally from Xenia, Ohio, Barbara had been a resident of Fort Myers since 1979. She had worked at Suntrust Bank in Cape Coral and at Island Home Mortgage on Sanibel Island prior to retirement in 2006. Barbara attended Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was active in several groups and women's organizations. She loved to play Bunco and go to Tops. She was also active in a local care giver group. The last 11 years of her life were devoted to caring for her daughter Laurie.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Anna Gill, beloved husband, Wayne Cultice, and sister, Charlene K (Gill) Chess; brothers, William A. Gill, and Robert A. Gill. She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Dianna (Jeff) Mallow of Ohio, Susan (Bruce) Gertenbach of Missouri, Sherri (Kevin) Krob of Iowa, and Laurie Cultice of Fort Myers, FL, as well as 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (James) Thomae of North Carolina; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 27, 2017 from 11AM until 12PM at the Fuller Metz Funeral Home Chapel, followed by the funeral service at 12PM in the chapel. Interment will take place at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens after the ceremony. Memorial contributions are suggested to be made in Barbara's memory to either Westminster Presbyterian Church at 9065 Ligon Court Fort Myers, FL 33908 or to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org
